Information on applying for a short term (type C or Schengen) visa

We would like to inform you that Georgian citizens holding a biometric passport can stay in the Schengen area without a visa (up to 90 days within a 180-day period).

A short-term, so-called type C / Schengen visa (not exceeding 90 days) is issued by the Embassy of Latvia in Tbilisi on behalf of Hungary. Accordingly, visa applications of Georgian citizens without a biometric passport and citizens of other countries who are subject to a visa requirement and who hold a valid Georgian residence permit are processed by the Embassy of Latvia.
