On 11th March, at the Exhibition Hall of the Georgian Parliament National Library Mihaly Zichy Memorial Evening was held. The exhibition, where materials about Mihaly Zichy deposited at the National Library, as well as, unique manuscripts kept at the Manuscripts National Centre and illustrations for the epic poem of Shota Rustaveli, the “Knight in the Panther’s Skin” created by Zichy, were open. 

Prior to the exhibition, Ambassador of Hungary to Georgia, Mr. Sándor Szabó, General Director of the Georgian Parliament National Library, Mr. Giorgi Kekelidze, Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia, Mr. David Usupashvili and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Mr. Gigi Gigiadze had decorated the artist’s statue with flowers. 

The event was attended by the members of Parliament, diplomatic corps and media representatives.
