On 2-12th April, VI. International Choir Music Festival was held in Tbilisi under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture and Monument Protection of Georgia and the Mayor’s Office. Hungarian girl choir “Angelika” was selected by the Georgian Festival Board for the participation in the Festival. Prof. Archil Ushveridze, one of the organizers, said that the Board invited Angelika to take part in the festival, because the choir had a very interesting and remarkable repertoire. Apart from many songs and chants they performed pieces of Béla Bartók, Zoltán Kodály and Ferenc Liszt. Georgian audience enjoyed Angelika’s performance very much.
Ambassador of Hungary to Georgia, H.E. Sándor Szabó invited the Choir and its Head to a Reception held at the Embassy in their honour.
